Announcing our spring fundraiser!

Taste of the Season (Party for the Arty)": April 15-25

Performance Network Theatre is pleased to announce the lineup for "Taste of the Season (Party for the Arty)" which includes fifteen theatre-themed fundraising parties, taking place from April 15-25 in a variety of locations around Ann Arbor.

Private homes, restaurants, performance spaces and even barns will host unique and intimate gatherings from Cuban Fiestas to Provencal (Indoor) Picnics.

Tickets are on sale now, and "Taste of the Season (Party for the Arty)" catalogs are available by calling the theatre box office at (734) 663-0681.

Seating is limited for many of these parties, so get your tickets ASAP!

Proceeds from "Taste of the Season (Party for the Arty)" will benefit Performance Network's programs including its Children's Theatre Network, Fireside Festival of New Work, Pay-What-You-Can performances and free tickets for community organizations.

Calling All Guys and Dolls!

Thursday, April 15, 6:00 p.m.
Prohibition party at Arbor Brewing Company, including guided tasting of multiple brews from ABC's expert rum-runners (brewers), complete with "a bushel and a peck" of accompanying appetizers!
Cost: $75/person

A Streetcar to Quarter Bistro

Friday, April 16, 12:00 p.m.
New Orleans inspired lunch at Quarter Bistro including alligator voodoo, catfish beignets, gumbo, jambalaya and muffulettas. This event is wheelchair accessible.
Cost: $50/person

Cabana Havana party

Saturday, April 17, 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Late afternoon fiesta with rum-based cocktails and Cuban style appetizers at the home of Stephen and Betty Palms. Mojitos are the order of the day, with barbecued pork appetizers and plantains on the buffet.

Bottoms Up from Down Under

Sunday, April 18, 4:00 p.m.
Seminar and tasting of seven Australian wines, paired with hors d'oeuvres, hosted by Rave Associates owner Marty Friedburg. Five wines, presented through special arrangement with Fosters Group, will be from Penfolds' acclaimed series.

A la Mode Provence and the Language d'Oc

Sunday, April 18, 5:00 p.m.
Epicurian feast of many courses featuring the flavors and tastes of the exciting area of France, Italy and Spain called the Occitan. Each course will be paired with the appropriate wine from the region. Hosted by Phyllis and David Herzig.

Contemporary artistic vegetarian/pescatarian spring dinner extravaganza at the home of Steve and Shira Klein. A four-course dinner: appetizer, salad, main course and dessert, complete with wine, presented and plated in a contemporary manner.

Habeas Theatre: an "...and Associates" Affair

Monday, April 19, 7:00 p.m.
Revisit the hilarious comedy about a lawyer gone bad by Jerry Lax and Ed Stein, featuring several of its original stars, while enjoying an ancient Latin themed appetizer buffet. This event is wheelchair accessible. Hosted by Jerry and Judie Lax, Ed Stein and Pat McCune, and Ann C. Cooper.

Enchanted April at Vinology SOLD OUT

Wednesday, April 21, 6:00 p.m.
Italian wine tasting with accompanying appetizers in Vinology's Cellar Room. Oversize wood bins filled with wine line the walls of this glassed-in space and add to the elegant atmosphere.

Drinking the Grapes of Wrath

Saturday, April 24, 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Party in the backyard barn of Artistic Director David Wolber and Wa-Louisa Hubbard. The barn buffet will feature an imaginative menu inspired by the epic American novel turned play and plenty of "grapes" to combat any depression you may be feeling.

The Baker's Wife Provencal Picnic SOLD OUT!!

Sunday, April 25, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
All the elements of Provence: rosemary, thyme, tomatoes of different hues, garlic and olive oil, olives, tapenade, typical Provencal cheeses, and lamb cooked on the grill served with an abundance of good wine. Hosted by Debra and Mike Jett.
